The Client
Zoomob, a Hong Kong based mobile game developer, was looking for writers to create dynamic and engaging interactive romance stories for their game Sensation - Interactive Stories,
I have an ongoing relationship with Zoomob, having written multiple plots and full stories for them since 2020.
The Project
I work with Zoomob as both a plot writer and story writer, not only developing exciting plots and likeable characters, but providing complex and nuanced interactive choices to players.
My first story written for Sensation - Interactive Stories entitled My Office Domination is currently the most popular story in the game, having been played over 170,000 times.
Plot Writing
When writing plots for Sensation - Interactive Stories, I not only make sure to create plots that would be interesting to read and that are filled with likeable and complex characters, but I also carefully consider the sub-genres of romance that readers are most likely to be interested in.
I have written office romance, slow-burn friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, BDSM, and LGBTQ+ stories, all while keeping in mind the existing tropes of these sub-genres and how to make them compelling.
Story Writing
After working with the editors and Zoomob to develop an engaging plot, I write stories that range between 10 - 14 chapters in length. Each chapter involved multiple moments of choice for the players, and I work to ensure that players are always given interesting and exciting options to choose from.
As well as ensuring that the stories are compelling for an audience, I also make sure that I am writing within the house style that Zoomob wants for all of the stories in Sensation - Interactive Stories. I work collaboratively with editors to create the best possible final story.
